Demand for legal advice is becoming more diverse, and every matter, whether for an individual or a business, raises legal issues that must be examined from several angles. Resolving them requires lawyers to know the law well, identify potential risks correctly, and choose solutions that fit the actual circumstances. For Phong & Partners, this also sets its long-term direction: keep raising professional expertise, emphasize academic research, and build consistent, professional working processes. At the event, these goals were summed up in the motto: “Professional Excellence – Academic Depth – Standardized Processes.”
The highlight of the program was the launch of the Phong & Partners Senior Advisory Board. Its five members have extensive experience in adjudication, law, education, and finance and accounting:
The Senior Advisory Board will work with Phong & Partners to strengthen the quality of its professional work in three main ways. First, the Board will give advice and input on complex, specialized matters that need discussion and critical review by experienced experts. Second, Board members will work with the firm to organize seminars, workshops and webinars on specific topics, focused on sharing practical experience, academic exchange and updates on important legal issues. Third, the Board will review and comment on professional materials and publications written by the Phong & Partners team before they are used or published.
Through these activities, the Board will provide expert advice and also help build a culture of regular knowledge exchange, critical debate and learning at Phong & Partners. This reflects the firm’s guiding principle: keep learning from experience, listen to different perspectives, and actively improve its professional skills. The goal is legal practice that is more professional and well-organized and that keeps pace with society’s rapid development.
Lawyer Le Ngo Hoai Phong, MA, Head of Phong & Partners Law Firm, said: “Phong & Partners was founded and grew up in Central Vietnam, starting out with very limited resources. Throughout that journey, we have always valued solidarity and collective wisdom. But we understand that to reach bigger goals, besides building on our own strengths, Phong & Partners needs to keep connecting with and learning from experts in many fields.
That is why we set up the Senior Advisory Board. We hope to bring together experienced experts to share their perspectives and support the firm as it raises the quality of its professional work. We are grateful for the Board members’ support and hope their insights and experience will help Phong & Partners, and the legal profession more broadly, grow sustainably and bring real value to society.”
The Senior Advisory Board adds depth to the firm’s advisory work. Writing and publishing the In-depth Legal Handbooks is a concrete step toward organizing the knowledge gained from legal practice. At the event, Phong & Partners presented handbooks grouped by area of law. They focus on practical skills and on the cases and matters the firm most often handles in advisory, litigation and client support work.
The handbooks set out practical skills in the following areas:
The collection helps organize professional knowledge and connects legal knowledge with the practical demands of legal work. Phong & Partners plans to keep improving these handbooks and to write new ones in other areas of law.

The authors of the handbook “Skills in Debt Recovery Practice” won the Gold Award.
The handbook collection is the intellectual asset of the whole Phong & Partners team. The firm hopes it will become a shared resource, so that the experience and knowledge gained in practice can be widely shared and put to good use across the team. This will create consistency in how matters are researched and handled, and help the firm serve its clients as well as possible.
The firm is drawing on the expertise shared through the Senior Advisory Board and on the knowledge set down in each handbook. With these, Phong & Partners is steadily building a solid professional foundation for long-term growth. The standing of a law firm depends not only on its size or reach, but also on the depth of its knowledge, the quality of its team and its ability to deliver professional legal services.

Guided by the motto “Honour Justice – Respect Goodwill,” Phong & Partners believes clients’ trust must be earned through professional competence, responsibility and exemplary professional conduct. The launch of the Senior Advisory Board and the release of the In-depth Legal Handbooks are not separate activities. They share one goal: strengthening the firm’s professional foundation so it can serve clients more professionally and effectively, and helping raise the standing of the legal profession, which is the mission Phong & Partners is working toward.
