7. Subjects granted temporary residence cards and duration of temporary residence cards in Vietnam

Pursuant to Article 36 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014, amended by Article 1.14 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam Vietnam 2019, regulations on subjects eligible for temporary residence cards as follows:

“Article 36. Cases of being granted temporary residence cards and temporary residence card symbols

1. Cases of being granted a temporary residence card include:

a) Foreigners who are members of diplomatic missions, consulates, representative agencies of international organizations under the United Nations, intergovernmental organizations in Vietnam and their spouses and children under 18 years old , a maid who comes along on a term basis;

b) Foreigners entering the country with visas with symbols LV1, LV2, LS, DT1, DT2, DT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LD1, LD2, TT”.

• LD2: Foreigners working in Vietnam who are required to have a work permit.
• TT: Foreigners who are spouses, children under 18 years old of foreigners who are granted visas with symbols LV1, LV2, LS, DT1, DT2, DT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LD1, LD2 or Foreigners are fathers, mothers, wives, husbands, and children of Vietnamese citizens.

9. The duration of a temporary residence card
